Learn how to create new templates in Fourwinds to design the layout of your digital sign.
Templates are layout blueprints for your signs. They set up where and how content will display, including background and regions. Assign a template to your sign to start showing content.
1. First, go to your building or department location in the Templates area of FourWinds
2. Right-click and select “New Template in This Category.”
3. Name your template for easy reference.
4. Set a background color or request a custom graphic from HITS. This helps indicate if the sign is disconnected.
5. Choose the resolution—usually 3840 by 2160 for 4K displays.
6. Next, let’s add a content region.
- In the template editor, click “New Region” and choose Rectangle.
- Right-click the region in the list and select Properties.
- Name your region.
- Set the size to match the sign—3840 by 2160—and the position to 0,0 for full screen.
7. You can also drag to resize or adjust region properties as needed.
