As bird flu cases continue to rise, University of Michigan researchers are studying how the virus spreads through the air and how to stop it. Led by Herek Clack, associate professor of civil and environmental engineering, the team is examining how long the virus remains infectious in livestock environments and exploring new technologies to reduce its spread.
